One question I ask my clients before we start

It's a NEW DAY, Reader!

When Heather first got in touch with me, she was feeling quite overwhelmed with all she had going on in her body.

Despite years of taking medicine for acid reflux, she still experienced heartburn nearly every day.

Looking in the mirror, she was dismayed by her thinning hair, the bags and dark circles under her eyes, and the extra weight she was carrying.

Severe fatigue along with joint and muscle pain and weakness was getting in the way of enjoying her life to the fullest, especially time with her young grandchildren.

Being a grandmother doesn't mean you have to look and feel old - and at 53, Heather is definitely too young to be feeling this way!

One of the first questions I ask my clients on their intake form is:

"When was the last time you felt well?"

Heather's answer?

"I can't remember when I could ever say I felt well."

Can you feel the heaviness of that statement, Reader?

I sure can.

Even now, month's later, after I know Heather's response to that same question is entirely different, I can still feel it.

Why?

Because I know it's still true for so many others.

It used to be that sickness, pain, and disease were mostly reserved for the oldest generation, but now days these along with anxiety, frustration, chasing symptoms, and looking for answers seem to be equal opportunity challenges.

Men and women, seniors and teenagers, parents and kids...

What about you?

When was the last time you felt well?

Heather had no idea where to start with her health or even what might actually make a meaningful difference.

Though she didn't say it, she had felt unwell for so long I think she probably had some doubts that anything would help... and I wouldn't blame her if she had those thoughts! After all, she had tried different diets and medications and here she was, still struggling.

After Heather and I had worked together for about 4 months, I asked her some of the same questions from the intake form to show her how far she had come over that time.

Her answer to the same question this time?

"I'm feeling more healthy today than I have in years!"

Take a moment to feel this, too, Reader.

A lightening of the burden.

Excitement and joy!

HOPE!

But it wasn't only Heather herself who was noticing a big shift in her life.

"Many people started commenting that I was looking healthier. Then one day while chatting with a young mom with her two young boys at the pool, she assumed I was the mother of my one and two year old grandsons! What a complement!
I not only felt younger, I looked younger too!"

I don't have a magic wand.

There is no supplement, diet hack, or lifestyle habit that if you 'do this for 30 days all your pain and illness will disappear.'

Heather made significant investments in her health. She spent time, energy and yes, money. She had setbacks and challenges. But she showed up and climbed that mountain one step at a time!

Working with Valerie on a one-on-one basis knowing that she was fully investing in me and working with me and all of my individual health needs was worth every penny I spent and all of the time I committed to improving my health. I learned so much about myself, good nutrition, and overall whole body wellness and have already shared so much with others so they can live healthier, happier lives as well.

So, back to my question...

When was the last time you felt well?

If it's been a while, or if you can't even remember a time when that was ever true for you, it's time for us to have a free 30 minute chat about what's going on and how I can help!

You could be echoing Heather's words by the holidays!

I have three openings for new clients on my calendar this month - reply to this email and we'll get an exploratory call scheduled!

With Hope for your Health and Healing,

Valerie

It's a NEW DAY, Reader! You've seen it before... maybe you've even experienced it yourself. Someone, whether it's a friend or an social media influencer, got amazing results doing this "one simple thing." A supplement. An exercise routine. Eliminating something from their diet. A breathwork technique, sleep hack, fasting... The list goes on and on. Then you try it, hoping it will be the silver bullet that will finally get the needle moving in your own health situation. Maybe it works for a...

Reader, you were made for wellness! I know that may seem hard to believe, especially if you're experiencing health challenges and have spent too much time and energy searching for answers and real, personal support that will truly help you regain your health instead of just managing symptoms. I can assure you, though, there is hope for your health and healing! The human body was created with dozens - maybe even hundreds - of self-healing mechanisms and pathways! But they need the right tools...

It's a NEW DAY, Reader! Recently I attended the funeral of an elderly gentleman in our church. At the time of his passing, he was just shy of celebrating 45 years of sobriety. Anyone who struggles with an addiction likely has some powerful thoughts that come up hearing about this. Powerfully positive thoughts like: If he can do it, so can I! Yes! I'm on my way to that goal, too! Or maybe they're powerfully negative thoughts like: No way, I could never be that strong. How can anyone possibly...
